The institutes that do the best job of that are starting to fail. As the newspapers, our most prolific original source of information, figure out how to fix their business models, we the people need to support them so they don't go under. Yes, we do have power over the government. We can vote the bums out, provided we know who are bums and who aren't. It may be useful to be aware of the latest state mandates, but the only legal response is to hope a politician will answer to you in mitigating the mandate.
