Plagurism at its worst… And clumsiest

This post isn’t about me… I’m only putting this up here to encourage you to take a look at something. It’s the tale of a good friend of mine, Moira Rogers (well, half of Moira Rogers is a good friend of mine), a duo that has found success in publishing gritty, urban romance novels. If imitation is the greatest form of flattery, it seems they have a huge fan in Angela Priest.

The short version is this: Ms. Priest has found that it’s acceptable to republish other authors’ works as her own on free sharing sites, merely changing names being her only true “creative contribution” to the stories.  The long(er) version put up by Bree is here: http://moirarogers.com/blog/archives/3946

Needless to say, this Angela Priest is a mighty careless plagurist. I can’t say what would drive a person to do such a thing, as her blog and fan forums are pretty empty. I’m guessing that she might be scouring the web for an appropriate apology to copy and paste.

I know how this will sound, but the plagiarist David Boyer takes many female identities, and this one has the look and feel of his work.

I find it humorous and ironic that the background on her website is Twilight Breaking Dawn photos, which are no doubt copyrighted, and yet she has added a copyright to her own site…apparently including her hijacked Twilight photos.
